LOGWOOD

* We can no longer supply logs in loads of under 2m3*

Due to increasing legislation we can now only supply wood in loads of 2 cubic metres or more. This means we are unable to offer half loads.

Customer notice for wood sold in volumes of 2 cubic metres or more in England

This wood is not suitable for burning until it has been dried. You should not burn wood until it has a moisture content of 20% or less.
Wet wood contains moisture which creates smoke and harmful particulates when burnt. As well as being harmful to your health and the environment, this can damage your stove and chimney and is an inefficient way to heat your home. Dry it in a sunny, well-aired space for at least two years, keeping rain off in the winter.
Radial cracks and bark that comes off easily suggests wood that is ready for burning. Test the wood when you think it is ready for burning, ideally with a moisture meter. First calibrate the meter and then measure a freshly split surface to get the best reading.

Our Wood Burning Stove Logs are perfect for enclosed fires such as stoves and Aga cookers. Crafted from high-quality Chestnut and Cedar, these logs provide a traditional crackling sound and have a burn duration comparable to that of open fire logs. Due to the potential for sparks, they are most suitable for use in enclosed fires.

For those with open fires, we offer a selection of mixed hardwoods, including Apple, Ash, Cherry, Oak, and Beech. These hardwoods are known for their longer burn time compared to softwood and produce fewer sparks than stove logs, making them ideal for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We recommend these specifically for open fires.

A full load costs £200 inc VAT (approx 2.4m3). Delivery is free in the Maidstone area. Please provide your postcode when ordering to confirm delivery costs.
